I have been getting a lot of contacts lately about the new Innovation Roadmap offering (that was the point!) about what types of things go into the Roadmap.

It really does depend on your innovation must-haves and/or nice-to-haves, but in summary, it can contain any of the following:

•     Process Descriptions/Process Maps
•     Deliverables/Artifact Documentation
  
•     Resources Required
  
•     Time Required
•     Entry/Exit Points
•     Key Performance Indicators/Metrics
•     Tips/Tricks
•     Behaviors/Attributes
•     Funding Needs

In essence, I have a long list of templates that I can plug in, pull out, customize and manipulate in building your custom "roadmap."  For example, let's say one of your innovation management gaps is the fact that you lack a good governance structure.  Well, here's a sample governance org chart that may help get you where you want to be in your innovation "travels."  Along with this map would be a summary of key resource, roles, responsibilities, etc.
