It's Hard To Argue With Common Sense...
** Random Quote for the Week of July 9th, 2007:
"The magic formula that successful businesses have discovered is to treat customers like guests and employees like people." - Tom Peters** Don't Argue With Common Sense "Conceptlet":
I realized that I have been spending a lot of time on Tom Peters' site recently. I've been engrossed in reading the blog entries and looking through the newly re-designed presentation decks. It struck me as strange that I would be spending so much time there, until I realized that perhaps my subconscious was just looking for a little common sense to balance the corporate bureaucracy, where common sense is indeed in short supply.
Let's face it...Tom Peters is a pretty sharp geezer (if you're familiar with Tom's presentations, you'll know why he wouldn't have a problem with that designation) . Unlike the many "experts" in the management consulting arena, he gets it. He understands that his role is to bring common sense back to the board room and executive lunchroom.
I'd like to think I bring my clients the same common sense view of reality that Tom does to his clientèle. It's hard to argue, comment or improve upon common sense. It just is what it is. Therefore, this is going to be a short blog entry.
Check out Tom's website at: http://www.tompeters.com
Also, Tom recently updated all of his presentation decks which can be found at: http://www.tompeters.com/entries.php?note=009825.php
And if you're just interested in Tom's common sense view of the importance of innovation, use this link:

The decks are large, but worth every minute of your time. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to brainstorming business ideas for tapping the geezer/boomer female market segment.
Have a GREAT week and HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!
